(9) INFECTION DISEASE (viral/Bacterial/ Other Infection Disease

  1. 9 | INFECTIOUS DISEASES

(Viral/Bacterial/Other Infectious Diseases)

When a person is exposed to certain bacteria, bacilli, viruses or parasites, infectious diseases can occur. Normally, the person’s immune system comes into play, to take care of the foreign organisms affecting the body. Virus treatment formula is used to assist this natural immune system of the body.

Following diseases are commonly encountered.

ACNE AND BLACKHEADS

Acne is a disorder which affects teenagers and young adults, though only 10 to 20 percent of adults may experience this disorder in some form or other. After puberty, there is an increase in sebum released by sebaceous glands. Sometimes, cysts are formed due to blockage of the orifice. These cysts are called pimples.

In acne, there are excessive pimples on the face. They are black papules, pustules or nodules. Sometimes there is a hereditary tendency. The problem is also due to imbalance of sex hormones. Persons with oily type of skin are more prone to have pimples.

Avoid pastries, chocolates and oil-rich food. Take proper sleep. Shampoo the scalp twice a week. Wash the face with tepid water and mild soap as often as possible. Do not apply any cream to the face.

Treatment If the pimples are infected and having pus then give :

When pus is not there, give :

ARTHRITIS

Arthritis can be considered under different categories:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis – refer to the chapter on Acidosis.
  • Tuberculous arthritis – see under Tuberculosis, in this chapter.
  • Osteoarthritis – refer to the chapter on Orthopaedic disorders.

Pyogenic arthritis

In pyogenic arthritis, a joint is infected by bacteria of one of the pyogenic groups. The organisms may reach the joint through the blood stream or through a penetrating wound.

This arthritis may superimpose on other forms of arthritis. The onset will be acute or subacute with fever and pain and swelling of the joint.
